Clubs must be affiliated with BNJCA to play in our organised competitions. The Associations charges $1 per annum for a club to be affiliated.

There is a player levy also charged:

  • For all Saturday players, clubs are charged $25 per season / player and this covers both Pre-Xmas and Post-Xmas competitions. If a player chooses to only play in the Pre-Xmas competition the club is still charged $25. There is no charge for Blaster teams

Use of Player Levy

BNJCA operates a grant system which sees money go back into playing facilities. Up to $12,000 per annum is made available.

The Healy Cup Carnival hosted by BNJCA is self-funded by the levies applied to the teams competing in that carnival.

The representative cricket process, from trials through to teams attending championships, challenges and development carnivals, is an independently funded program and does not draw on the funds of the association.

Junior cricket associations are not funded by Queensland Cricket or the Queensland Government so the only source of funding is player levies.

Access to coaching support for junior teams is facilitated by having Queensland Cricket Game Development representation at Delegates meetings so that clubs can hear what is being planned and happening, and also to access these services. This is actively promoted by BNJCA at meetings and via emails.

All other administration costs of running the Association are met by the player levy.
